Moller International, and their spin-off Freedom Motors, are developing revolutionary rotary internal combustion engine designs with lower emissions and greater efficiency than conventional designs.
Today, Peter Mustafa of Freedom Motors posted an update on the commercialization of their rotary engine technology, which you can find here. The mainpage discussing their rotary power tech can be found here.
The Rotapower rotary engine’s power to weight ratio, along with their ultralow emissions, make them a perfect application as a range extender in series hybrid electric vehicles. To date, they have received RFQ’s for approximately 900,000 of these engines from major automakers, and are closing on the distribution / financing agreements to deliver on these orders.
