The 2013 Toyota Prius Liftback and 2013 Prius V wagon will cost buyers between $100 and $200 more than comparable 2012 models, Toyota announced yesterday.
The pricing increase, which comes into effect immediately, means that those buying the 2013 Prius Liftback will find themselves paying $200 more across the range, putting a base level Prius Two at $24,960, including a mandatory delivery fee of $760.
The top level Prius Five will cost $30,765, including delivery fees.
While the 2013 Prius Liftback is identical to the 2012 Prius, Toyota has announced a special edition Prius–called the Prius Persona Series Special Edition–which will retail at $27,860, including delivery fees.
Based on the Prius Three trim level, the Persona Series Special Edition includes 17-inch allow wheels, Black Cherry Pearl exterior paint, a special-edition badge, exclusive SofTex trim, and chrome shift lever and door grips.

Although the 2013 Prius Liftback has increased its price by a uniform$200 across the range, the price increases on the 2013 Prius V depend on the model chosen.
The base-level 2013 Prius V Two is $100 more expensive than the previous year, retailing for $27,490, including mandatory delivery charges.
The same increase is true of the 2013 Prius V Three, whose price increases by $100 on the 2012 model to $28,175, delivery included.

At the top of the Prius V range, the 2013 Prius V Five attracts a larger price increase of $155. This places it at $31,055, including mandatory delivery fees.
Similar to the 2013 Prius Liftback, there are no changes in trim or specification to the 2013 Prius V over the 2012 Prius V.

Unlike the 2013 Prius Liftback and 2013 Prius V, the 2013 Prius Plug-in Hybrid does not get a price increase for 2013.
With the same trim options and specifications as the 2012 Prius Plug-in Hybrid, that means you’ll pay $32,760 for the base level Prius Plug-in, or $40,285.
Both prices include a mandatory $760 delivery fee, but do not include any discounts from federal or state incentives.
At the time of writing, Toyota has yet to price the smallest member of its Prius family for the 2013 model year, the 2013 Prius C.
