Toyota has issued slightly modified preliminary EPA fuel economy numbers for its 2010 Prius.
Before you smugly declare that you were right, that there was no way this third-gen hybrid could achieve 50 miles to the gallon in combined fuel economy, please note: that number hasn’t changed, Mister Skeptical.
Toyota says the one-mile-per-gallon city increase (now 51 MPG) and the one-mile-per-gallon highway less (now 48 MPG) were both due to misinterpretation of preliminary data.
