As 2015 draws to a close, it’s time once again to look at the best deals on green cars.
We previously included diesel models on these lists, but decided to cut the category as most models are Volkswagens that are now subject to a stop-sale order by the company.
But there are still plenty of deals on hybrids, plug-in hybrids, and electric cars that are worth considering.

So for the last time in 2015, here are the month’s best green-car deals. Head over to CarsDirect for more information.
2015 Kia Optima HybridHybrids
The cheapest hybrid to lease is currently the 2015 Toyota Prius C.
The smallest member of the Prius family is available for $159 a month for 36 months, if you make a deal between now and January 4.
That’s with $1,999 due at signing, and an annual cap of 12,000 miles.

Toyota is rolling out an all-new Prius for 2016, but there’s no indication if or when the subcompact Prius C will be replaced.
If a little more space is required, there’s also the 2016 Ford Fusion Hybrid.
Ford’s mid-size sedan hybrid can be leased for $169 per month for 36 months, an offer that also stands until January 4.
2016 Ford Fusion Hybrid
It comes with $2,509 due at signing, and 10,000 miles per year.
Thanks to $3,250 in discounts, the Fusion Hybrid now has the same effective lease cost as a comparable non-hybrid Fusion.
That’s despite a listed price premium of over $2,000 for the hybrid.

Another mid-size sedan option is the 2015 Kia Optima Hybrid.
It can be leased at $209 a month for 39 months, with $1,499 due at signing.
That offer comes with an allowance of 12,000 miles per year, and lasts through January 4.
2015 Ford C-Max Energi
Plug-In Hybrids
The 2015 Ford C-Max Energi is still the best plug-in hybrid deal, although Ford’s offer has changed once again.
The C-Max Energi is now available to lease at $159 per month for 36 months. In November, it was $129 a month for 24 months.
That’s with $3,129 due at signing–compared to $3,099 last month–with 10,500 miles allotted per year.
This offer–which lasts through January 4–continues to make the C-Max Energi worth considering for buyers who need a car right now.
But next year, the C-Max will face stiffer competition from a revived Toyota Prius plug-in hybrid, based on the new fourth-generation Prius platform.
2016 Chevrolet Volt
Electric Cars
It may not be available in most of the country, but the 2016 Chevrolet Volt is still among the best electric-car deals this month.
In the states where it is available, the Volt can be leased at $299 per month for 39 months.
That comes with a 15,000-mile annual cap–somewhat higher than is typically offered with a lease.
Owners of competitive non-General Motors vehicles can also get a $500 “conquest bonus,” which effectively erases the down payment.
This offer is valid through January 4.
Buyers who can’t get their hands on a 2016 Volt can wait until spring, when the 2017 model launches nationwide.
2015 BMW i3
The 2015 BMW i3 is already available nearly everywhere, and BMW is upping incentives to make way for 2016 models.
Leases start at $219 for 30 months, with $4,144 due at signing, and an allotted 10,000 miles per year.
That’s a $10 decrease in the monthly and down payments for the base i3.
The lease term is also a bit longer than the previous 24 months.
