Fisker Karma
The Fisker Karma isn’t vaporware after all. Car and Driver caught the seductive plug-in hybrid sport sedan creeping around some cones in what might be the car’s Stealth Drive mode for relaxed cruising. Notice the absence of any throaty internal combustion noise as the Karma drives away. Just tire noise, wind, and that electric whine that’s getting more and more common everyday. That could be the sound of the future of transportation.
Fisker expects to deliver the first of the Karmas in fall of 2009. Hopefully GM stays in business that long, as they’ve committed to supplying their 2.0 liter Ecotec 4-cylinder engine to extend the Karma’s range. So, where is that bailout money anyway?
