Ford is recalling 2015 C-Max hybrids to address a software glitch, as part of a larger recall of more than 432,000 2015 models.
The software-related malfunction in the body-control module could cause the engines in affected vehicles to continue running even after the driver has turned off the ignition.
It’s possible for cars to continue running with the ignition switched to “off” and key removed or, after pressing the engine start/stop button, if so equipped.

This could also make one of the affected cars more attractive to car thieves.

Owners will be notified of when to take their cars into dealers, who will update the body-control module software free of charge.
