Though typically costly, some hybrid vehicles are affordable and appeal to a significant amount of buyers.  The Honda Insight has recieved rave reviews and most reviewers focus on the affordability of this model.  At a base price of only $19,800, the Insight offers a great hybrid package at a low price.
Affordability is not the only attribute that makes the Insight a great car.  Several reviews have praised the Insight for its interior materials, good ride characteristics, sound handling, and exceptional gas mileage.  Even Toyota is worried about the success of the Insight and admits its sold at a great price point.  Toyota recently announced that they are considering lowering the price of the Prius to compete with the Insight.
